Pontsticill Reservoir is set within the Brecon Beacons National Park and is surrounded by forests and hills. It's used for paddleboarding, canoeing, fishing, and walking, with several car parks and picnic areas nearby. The Brecon Mountain Railway also runs alongside part of the reservoir, adding to the appeal for families. The water can be breezy at times, but on a still day it's one of the most scenic places in South Wales to spend a few hours outdoors.
