Loch of Skene is a shallow freshwater loch set in peaceful countryside west of Aberdeen. It’s a popular spot for birdwatching and fishing, with large numbers of geese and wildfowl using the loch through the year. Access to the water is restricted as the loch is privately owned, so paddleboarding and other watersports aren’t generally permitted. However, the surrounding area is scenic and makes for a quiet place to enjoy a walk or take in views across the water.
