Llyn Padarn is a two-mile long glacial lake sitting beneath the dramatic peaks of Snowdonia. It's a hub for outdoor adventure, with calm stretches of water ideal for paddleboarding, kayaking, or open-water swimming. Around the shore you'll also find walking trails, cycle routes, and the National Slate Museum. Launch points include the slipway by the outdoor centre and the shoreline near Llanberis, where parking is available but fills quickly in summer. Conditions can change with the wind, so check before heading out.
