Can I Paddleboard at Crummock Water?

Cockermouth

Crummock Water is 2.5 miles long, 3/4 mile wide and 140 feet deep. It's clear with a rocky bottom, surrounded by steep fellsides of Skiddaw slate. Crummock has limited access to the waterside, limiting entry points. There is a small carpark on the east side, or you can park along the side of the road nearer the south. There is also a National Trust carpark on the road to Buttermere, however it'd be a walk to the waters edge.
You will need a permit to paddleboard on Crummock Water, they can be bought in nearby carparks, or online for a season pass.
